Turner’s work in Indiana can be traced back to 1928 with the construction of twenty-one separate buildings for the U.S. Gypsum Company. In 1996 Turner formally established its Indiana roots, opening a full-service office in Indianapolis. Since then, the firm has developed a robust Indiana staff that includes construction-industry veterans, local college recruits, and knowledgeable Turner professionals from across the nation.
Turner’s mission is more than just bricks and mortar, however. Across the state, Turner employees are contributing time, talent, and treasure to make our communities cleaner, safer, and stronger, reflecting the corporation’s commitment to good citizenship and partnership.
Turner’s approach to construction is simple, we put the client first. That is what the Construction Management delivery model - be it Construction Manager at Risk or Construction Manager as Agent - does best and why the Turner Indiana office almost exclusively manages work under these models. Our approach fosters full transparency and collaboration at all levels, from early in design through construction completion, allowing the collective team to make informed and timely decisions to drive value for our clients.
Turner and Davis & Associates forged a relationship more than 20 years ago when Gary Davis participated in the Indiana Turner School of Construction Management for minority and women business owners. That relationship led to Davis & Associates serving as the general trade’s contractor on the Franklin School Apartments project, providing interior demolition services, as well as services to install structural columns in the old gymnasium space and new concrete sidewalks.
