Construction Management
The City of Columbus and Columbus Regional Health (CRH) partnered to transform the aging Fair Oaks Mall into NexusPark - a forward-thinking health and wellness destination. Approximately 25% of the former mall now houses the CRH Health Hub, consolidating 15 physician practices across primary care, specialty care (including OBGYN and audiology), laboratory services, and physical therapy. The reimagined space supports operational efficiency and fosters collaboration among healthcare providers and community wellness partners.
Turner served as construction manager, collaborating closely with BSA LifeStructures, RSP, and SSR through an Integrated Project Delivery (IPD) lite approach. This delivery model emphasized early and continuous engagement among all partners, open communication, and shared decision-making to ensure alignment of cost, quality, and schedule goals.
Turner worked hand-in-hand with the design team during preconstruction to identify constructability solutions, streamline phasing, and maintain uninterrupted community operations throughout construction. Delivered in four phases, the project’s success was rooted in collaboration, transparency, and innovative problem-solving. NexusPark exemplifies how adaptive reuse and integrated delivery can transform an underutilized commercial property into a sustainable, community-centered hub for wellness and vitality.
