Become a SubcontractorWe take care of each other, and that extends beyond our offices and jobsites into the communities where we work and live. It's a commitment deeply embedded in our core values. Our presence ignites positive impact for our people, clients and communities and is guided by four strategic pillars: Economic Development, Workforce Development, Youth Engagement, and Community Service.
Turner School of Construction Management (established in 1969) is an educational program that provides under-represented business enterprises the opportunity to form long-term business relationships, create networks and learn how to position their business to win work. Today, Turner School is offered annually in more than 30 Turner offices nationwide. Interested small and diverse-certified construction services firms are encouraged to connect with their local Turner Business Unit for application information.
A diverse workforce ensures the success of our industry, our company, and our communities. Central to our approach is creating life-changing opportunities for members of the community to embark on a professional journey in our industry.
We collaborate with community organizations and educational institutions to provide job trainings that lead to industry employment. Working in partnership with our clients and trade partners, we use a skills-based curriculum that introduces candidates to the construction industry. Participants receive an hourly wage, are assigned to an active Turner jobsite, and learn both technical and soft skills. Upon graduation, participants apply this knowledge to build a career in the construction industry.
Our youth engagement programs are designed to inspire K-12 students to explore careers within the industry, while providing the foundation for the skills necessary for a viable career path.
Programs include national partnerships with ACE Mentor Program of America, to local initiatives with educational and non-profit organizations.
