Thomas Schmitt

When a client says they wish every Construction Manager had a Tom Schmitt, you know you have something special. He has touched every project by Turner’s Indiana office since 2007. His understanding of the availability and capability of the local trade market is second to none.

His resume includes a myriad of project types, from hospitals and university research facilities to sports arenas and dining halls. This variety of experience is crucial as Tom and his team of skilled estimators validate pricing and lead times in the market. His ongoing involvement during design is critical to providing timely feedback to the team as decisions are being made.

Tom’s client on a recent student dining facility stated, “Tom’s ability to see behind the walls and take into consideration all facets for each discipline was an integral part to the success of the overall project.”

An avid water skier, Tom earned his BS in Civil Engineering from Purdue University and he has been with Turner for more than 17 years. He lives in Kokomo with his wife and daughter.
