Transforming a Windowless Building into an Open and Light Venue

Turner conducted a 90-day feasibility study to bring definition to the project, an effort that included developing a schedule to minimize reduction to services, enable fitness to remain available throughout construction, and complete the project with little disruption to campus life.

The updated facilities include a leisure pool, a climbing wall, bouldering facilities, an indoor running track, an indoor walking track, 11 gymnasiums, fitness space, and offices for the administration and wellness staff, as well as racquetball courts, gyms, locker rooms, and dining areas.

The project received LEED® Gold certification.
