Turner Honored at the 2026 National Association of Women in Construction Awards

Recognition celebrates Turner’s leadership in creating opportunity and delivering project excellence.

Turner received two honors from the National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC) for its leadership in advancing inclusion and opportunity across the construction industry and for project excellence.

Turner received the NAWIC Impact Award for Corporate Leadership, which recognizes organizations serving as catalysts for change by advancing diversity, equity, inclusion, and access across the architecture, engineering, and construction industry. Turner was also recognized for Project Excellence for the Resources Building Renovation in Sacramento, California.

The Corporate Leadership recognition reflects Turner’s commitment to creating pathways for people to enter, grow, and lead in construction. Through leadership development, mentorship, Employee Resource Groups, workforce partnerships, and supportive benefits, Turner works to create an environment where people can build meaningful, long-term careers.

“Recognition from NAWIC is especially meaningful because creating opportunity in construction requires more than opening the door. We have to create workplaces where people are respected, supported and able to build lasting careers,” said Lisa Moving, Vice President, Turner. “At Turner, that means holding ourselves accountable for the everyday experiences of our people, because respect and inclusion are not separate from safety, productivity, or performance. They are fundamental to the operating environment that allows people to contribute fully, raise risks early, build trust, and deliver stronger results, ultimately building stronger teams and a stronger industry.”

Turner also works to advance opportunity across the broader construction industry. The company is a founding member of Construction Inclusion Week and AEC Unites and participates in the Million Women in Construction Community Pledge. Turner also supports underrepresented businesses through procurement opportunities, mentorship, technical assistance, and capacity-building programs.

The Project Excellence Award recognizes Turner’s work on the $490 million Resources Building Renovation in Sacramento, California. The 17-story, 657,000-square-foot building underwent a complete transformation, including seismic upgrades, replacement of major building systems, and a new high-performance façade. Delivered through Progressive Design-Build, the project created a modern, sustainable workplace for the California Labor and Workforce Development Agency and achieved its Certificate of Occupancy more than two months ahead of schedule.

Together, the honors reflect Turner’s commitment to its people, its projects, and creating lasting opportunity across the construction industry.
