Goodwin is the flagship tenant in the latest commercial high rise at the Fan Pier Development--a building constructed by Turner with a separate team. The move to the Innovation District places Goodwin’s law practice closer to their clients, many of whom are also located in the waterfront development that is now home to thriving technology and life sciences industries.

The fit-out occupies twelve floors for a total of more than 360,000 square feet, and features sweeping views of the Boston Harbor and city skyline, intricate design detailing and use of exquisite materials throughout the space.

Walls of glass, wood veneers, stone, and fabric panels adorn the offices, conference rooms, law library and support spaces throughout the floors. The 17th floor is home to a conference center that spans the width of the building and opens up to two rooftop terraces. A servery complete with a pizza oven, kitchen, and dining areas are located on the ninth floor.

The dynamic design of the interconnecting staircases, most notably the incandescent spiral staircase and the "Pikes Peak" staircase interfaces are central to the overall design impact of the space. In concert with the staircases, additional communal gathering spaces were programatically spread out among the remaining floors to facilitate movement for Goodwin’s staff. The building received LEED Gold certification.
