The Refurbishment of a Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Plant

The McNeil Manufacturing Facility project featured the demolition and renovation of 347,050 sq. ft. of liquids and solids manufacturing space and support areas. The project included the construction of a three-story, 63,000 square foot production area, mezzanine, and mechanical penthouse within the original footprint. New production areas included Chemical Weigh and Staging, Liquid Sucrose, and Packaging Lines. New support areas included a microbiology lab, sampling, shipping and receiving (including robotic delivery and partial manned automated retrieval systems), locker rooms, break area, and a manufacturing office area. In addition, the liquids processing area was renovated and new piping, valves, and process controls were installed. Shell space for future production and packaging lines were also included.
