Lowville Academy and Central School “Protecting Our Future”

As part of its commitment to fostering academic excellence, athletic achievement, and community pride, the Lowville Academy and Central School District launched the “Protecting Our Future” capital improvement initiative. Turner partnered with the district to deliver a series of transformative upgrades designed to modernize facilities, enhance safety, and create a more inclusive and efficient learning environment.

The project featured extensive sitework and athletic facility improvements, including the resurfacing of the existing turf field and the construction of a new state-of-the-art synthetic turf field, expanding athletic opportunities and providing a durable, all-season surface for student and community use.

Inside the school, comprehensive interior renovations elevated functionality and comfort across learning and recreational spaces. Work included the full replacement of rooftop HVAC units with new ductwork, piping, and interior zone systems, boosting energy efficiency and indoor air quality. A new fire alarm system was installed to strengthen safety and reliability throughout the campus.

Turner also oversaw the complete replacement of the main gymnasium flooring, creating a refreshed, high-performance surface that supports athletic excellence. Additionally, the elementary classroom toilet rooms were reconstructed to meet ADA compliance standards, improving accessibility for all students and staff.

Further enhancements, such as pool drain cleaning and lining and the replacement of interior doors, contributed to a cohesive modernization effort that revitalized the entire facility.
