Turner Expands Early-Career Opportunities with Record Internship Class and Hiring Goals

Forbes recognizes Turner as a Best Employer for New Graduates as the company continues investing in future industry talent.

Turner has once again been named one of ForbesBest Employers for New Graduates, recognizing the company’s commitment to attracting, developing, and supporting early-career professionals.

The recognition reflects Turner’s continued investment in building a strong pipeline of emerging talent as the company continued growth globally. Turner now employs more than 17,000 people, an increase of approximately 5,000 employees over the past 18 months, while maintaining a record backlog of nearly $40 billion. To support this growth, Turner is welcoming a record 1,200 interns this summer and hiring approximately 1,500 new graduates across the company.

Turner’s internship program continues to evolve, providing meaningful, hands-on opportunities across projects and business operations. Many interns contribute to some of the most complex and impactful projects from day one, helping deliver healthcare, education, commercial, and advanced technology projects that strengthen communities while advancing sustainability and environmentally responsible building practices. Through this work, interns gain practical experience supporting projects designed to reduce environmental impact and create long-term value for clients and communities.

Through engagement with senior leaders, structured mentorship, and opportunities to collaborate and network with peers, interns gain exposure to Turner’s culture while developing technical and professional skills. Internships are designed to help participants make an immediate impact, build lasting relationships, and transition into full-time roles with the company.

As part of the experience, interns have access to Turner’s AI enterprise tools, helping them develop fluency in the technologies transforming the industry. On project sites, interns engage with AI powered tools such as SafeT Coach to enhance jobsite safety and decision-making, while those in business functions, including Marketing, leverage creative AI to develop client-facing materials. These opportunities help interns apply AI responsibly, strengthen analysis and reporting capabilities, and identify new opportunities for innovation across their work.

“As Turner continues to grow, we are focused on creating opportunities for early-career professionals to contribute, develop, and build meaningful careers,” said Katie Igoe, Vice President, Turner. “By investing in hands-on experience, mentorship, and access to innovative tools, we are helping our people develop the skills and confidence to make an impact from day one.”

As part of its expanding early-career initiatives, Turner’s Finance internship program is designed to prepare participants to succeed as business professionals within the organization. The program provides hands-on opportunities supporting project and operational needs while building skills in financial analysis, reporting, and collaboration.

Participants engage in a dedicated five-week program focused on AI and other emerging technologies while gaining exposure to Turner’s financial systems and organizational structure. The program helps interns develop a deeper understanding of how Finance partners with operations teams to drive performance and deliver results.

“The Finance internship program is designed to give participants both the technical foundation and professional skills needed to succeed at Turner,” said Natalie Fogarty, Financial Manager, Turner. “From working with our financial systems to collaborating with project teams and engaging with senior leaders, interns gain real-world experience while also building fluency in the tools and technologies shaping the future of our industry.”

Turner’s focus on early-career development is part of its broader commitment to fostering a workplace where people can be at their best, be authentic, and be treated with respect and dignity. As the company continues to grow and deliver some of the most complex projects in the industry, Turner remains focused on developing the next generation of builders, business professionals, and industry leaders.
