The Integrated Sciences Building on Drexel University's main campus is a six-story, 138,000 square foot teaching and research facility with 32 research labs, nine teaching labs, two organic chemistry labs, a fossil preparation lab, ample lab support space, eight classrooms (five with data outlets), 36 faculty offices, a conference room, and a 240-seat auditorium.
The building's signature space is a five-story atrium that features a biowall--the first of its kind at a United States university--which acts as an air filter for the building, removing carbon dioxide and volatile compounds, and controlling humidity.
The project is LEED Gold Certified.
