Block 16 is an 11-story shell and core build-out for Wright Runstad in the Spring District in Bellevue. Construction consists of an office building with a street retail level for the Spring District, a neighborhood in the heart of Bellevue. The existing site was a light industrial / commercial site located at the old Safeway Distribution Center in Bel-Red corridor of Bellevue, Washington.
The shell and core office building is structural steel with concrete on a metal deck. It has 12 levels above grade and five levels of subgrade parking. Once complete, Block 16 will include approximately 300,000 square feet of commercial office space on 11 floors, 16,000 square feet of retail space,and more than 900 parking spaces. This project will be LEED certified. It is also integrating many of our lean principles, including the last-planner system, pull planning, constraint log review, and weekly work plans.
