Turner provided construction management services for the renovation of the 25,000 square foot historic Rainbow Room at 30 Rockefeller Plaza. The project included the installation of new 24-foot, floor-to-ceiling windows, an upgraded kitchen, the addition and refurbishment of high-end finishes and a new terrace on the 65th Floor. New MEP systems were installed in the Rainbow Room in order to stay functioning effectively.
To maintain the landmark’s history, the domed ceiling, main chandelier, dance floor with inlaid-wood compass design, and three levels of seating tiers with crystal balustrades were preserved. In addition, the extensive MEP upgrades were performed to ensure the space’s functionality for years to come.
