The New Jersey Performing Arts Center is a 250,000 square foot facility that includes two major theaters, a rehearsal hall, banquet facilities, a restaurant, cafe and administrative space.  The Prudential Hall is a 2,750-seat, multi-purpose theater with high-end finishes, acoustics and a staging area capable of hosting ballets, symphonies, concerts and plays.  Prudential Hall has exacting acoustical criteria, essentially calling for no background noise.  A major part of the effort involved shielding the hall from a nearby noisy interstate freeway, heliport and airport, through the construction of 8-inch-thick outer walls and 12-inch-thick inner walls, creating a box within a box.  The mechanical system incorporates low-velocity, low-pressure air conditioning to alleviate noise resulting from air movement.

The Victoria Theater provides a more intimate 500-seat setting for smaller productions.  Both theaters include customized theater heating/ cooling designs and stage lighting control systems.
