The 12-story, 300,000 square foot headquarters of biotechnology company Genzyme features retail, restaurants, and public areas built around a central atrium, as well as multiple office floors, each with its own interior meeting garden.

The LEED Platinum certified Center takes advantage of natural daylight, using technology such as a building management system controlled heliostats and prismatic lenses to enable the light to reach the interior gardens. Additionally, the exterior wall is composed of highly insulated, multi-glazed panels with shading devices that allow ventilation in summer and solar gains in winter.
