The McGivney Advanced Surgery Center specializes in outpatient, same-day surgical treatment for bone, joint and spine conditions and is the only hospital in the country to have earned the highest level certifications for all major orthopedic services, including knee and hip replacement. This 30,000 sq. ft. project included six operating rooms, clean core, 23 PACU and prep/recovery bays, reception and waiting, and support spaces. In order to create a dependable surgical environment, every major MEP system on campus was evaluated and upgraded.
The project included the primary 15kV normal power distribution switchgear, emergency power generation & distribution, chilled/condenser water generation & distribution, steam & condensate distribution, and new air handling equipment. In order to create a dependable surgical environment, every major mechanical, electrical, and plumbing system on the SRC campus had to be evaluated and upgraded. This included primary 15kV normal power distribution switchgear, emergency power generation and distribution, chilled/condenser water generation distribution, steam and condensate distribution, and air handling equipment.
