University of Texas at San Antonio Structural Testing Facility

Expanding Research & Pushing Limits

The UTSA Large-Scale Structural Testing Facility is a 15,000 sq. ft. project consisting of a high-bay testing space and associated support spaces. The 3,200 sq. ft strong floor is capable of placing up to 2-million pound loads of structural components. The primary building structure is a pre-engineered metal building, and the main floor is constructed of a 3-foot concrete slab. This facility is among only a handful in the United States that can provide research on construction materials and methods. The project adds new research capacity for the UTSA Civil Engineering and allows the department to expand faculty and research programs.

Turner's management, customer friendly meitngs, safety, and performance are exceptional. The researchers and stakeholders are very pleased!
