Westmoreland County Community College Campus Student Achievement Center & New Science Building

Enhancing Student Spaces at Westmoreland County Community College

As part of the campus master plan, Turner worked with Westmoreland County Community College as a construction manager for a new Science Innovation Center and Student Achievement Center. The Science Innovation Center project was an 18,500 sq. ft. expansion which brought together the biology, microbiology, and anatomy classes all under one roof. Work consisted of five new labs / classrooms that integrate lecture and labs together, new student study spaces, and a new café. The Student Achievement Center project was a 102,000 sq. ft. renovation of the existing Founders Hall. The new center created enhanced opportunities for student-to-student collaboration and easier access to student services. The space also incorporated areas for support services including enrollment, student success and other administrative teams. A new entry for the building was also created.
