Expanding McKesson’s Reach to Pittsburgh

This project included a fast-tracked 70,000 sq. ft. office fit-out over three floors. Work consisted of new offices, open office areas, conference rooms, pantries, common areas, data rooms, training rooms, guest services area, and huddle rooms. This project had a very aggressive schedule of sixteen weeks. An additional challenge of the project was the project team was located in different cities; the Owner in San Francisco, the Design Team Architect in Texas, the Security Designer in California, AV and IT in New York, and the building owner and Turner in Pittsburgh. Coordination with these entities was a major component and a lot of remote coordination took place. Turner took the lead on taking pictures of existing conditions and measurements so the design team could make decisions quickly without being on site. Early partnership between Turner, McKesson, the design team, and the Owner’s Vendors promoted communication and mutual respect.
