Bringing island vibes to the Midwest with the Margaritaville Hotel in Kansas City, Kansas, this six-story, 229-room destination is designed for relaxation, entertainment, and unforgettable gatherings. This nearly 200,000 sq. ft. resort-style hotel blends signature Margaritaville flair with serious hospitality, featuring a lively lobby and check-in experience, a 300-seat LandShark Bar & Grill, Joe Merchant’s Provisions grab-and-go coffee shop, retail space, and a family-friendly arcade. Water amenities include a 5,000 sq. ft. indoor pool and pool deck and a sprawling 53,000 sq.ft. outdoor pool and deck complete with the Salty Rim walk-up bar. 

Turner worked closely with designers and trade partners to ensure the tropical-inspired details, from the layout of the pools to the finishes and atmosphere in the restaurants, came together seamlessly. To help streamline construction and maintain efficiency on this complex, fast-paced project, Turner implemented Lean building principles and leveraged Takt planning for scheduling strategy. This approach allowed for improved coordination across trades, reduced downtime between activities and provided greater consistency in workflow throughout the site. The project was also recognized as a Turner Lean Go & See project, an internal accolade that highlights exemplary use of lean practices in the field. This designation reflects the team’s commitment to continuous improvement, collaboration, and delivering value through efficient, well-organized execution.
