Kansas State University Student Union

Enhancing the Student Experience

Renovation of the Kansas State University’s Student Union in Manhattan, Kansas involved the demolition and re-build of dining facilities, retail areas and administrative support spaces within the facility. The project involved about 132,000 sq. ft. of interior renovation on five floors, as well as exterior façade replacement. Because the Union is one of the most active facilities on campus, work was completed in three phases in order to minimize disruption to the daily activities of the students, faculty/staff, and general public, as well as scheduled Union programs and events. The Union remained fully-operational throughout construction.
