The Compass Minerals National Performance Center is a 80,000 sq. ft. training facility for the MLS Sporting Kansas City soccer team, the USA Men’s National Soccer team, the US Soccer coaches and referees. In addition, the facility houses Children’s Mercy Sports Medicine Center, which provides a full range of sports medicine services, resources and programming for student-athletes in all sports who want to rehab in an environment specific to their sport. The facility offers a 13,000 sq. ft. gymnasium, state-of-the-art workout equipment, an anti-gravity treadmill, the first of its kind in the area, physical therapy tables, exercise pools and cafeteria. The entire complex is an athlete training and performance analytics campus, further solidifying Kansas City as the “soccer capital of America”.

The facility contains the world’s first “SuperPitch”, three side-by-side-by-side full-size soccer fields, a 12,870 SF gymnasium featuring 2,000 SF of synthetic turf and a variety of workout and fitness equipment, and a coaching and education center banquet facilities and event space. During construction, the Turner team ensured a safe environment while working on this extremely tight and active job site in Village West. The project exceeded all of the goals for minority, women-owned and local business participation.
