The Cira Centre is a 28-story, 720,000 sq. ft. office building comprising 690,000 sq. ft. of office space and 37,000 sq. ft. of conference, retail, and related amenities space. It is located north of, and directly connected to, Philadelphia’s 30th Street Station via a newly-constructed pedestrian bridge over Arch Street.
The building is a steel frame structure on caissons and is totally enclosed in a glass curtainwall and roof system. Fourteen high-speed elevators and two escalators move people from a highly finished lobby to their individual floors with extraordinarily efficient response time. The glass façade is lit with 1800 LED fixtures distributed over the four elevations and the roof. The building’s design incorporates a 100% air purge system as well as nine-foot ceilings and a 360-degree panoramic view of the city.
