Bringing Many Specialty Practices Together under One Roof

The Specialty Care Center and Ambulatory Surgery Facility in King of Prussia combined the services of two existing outpatient facilities and added an Ambulatory Surgical Facility and an Urgent Care program to the existing suite of services.

The facility is approximately 115,000 sq. ft. stacked across four levels. The ground floor contains the home care department, the pharmacy, conference space, staff lounge and toilet rooms, building support space, and the staff entrance. The first floor contains the various specialty care center programs (orthopedics with a general radiographic room; sports medicine with gym; ear, nose, and throat; ophthalmology; audiology; speech; and general shared examination rooms for multiple specialties), conference space, staff lounge and toilet rooms, and the patient entrance. The second floor contains imaging (general radiographic and fluoroscopy imaging, MRI, Spec CT, and ultrasound), sedation (eight rooms of which four are designed to serve for sleep studies, a nursing center, staff touchdown, and medication room); the oncology day hospital (exam, procedure, and infusion areas; nursing center; medication room; chemo preparation space; staff touchdown; play area; and teen area) which serve as urgent care evenings and weekends; phlebotomy and lab; and shared support including registration, conference, waiting, public toilets, and staff areas.
