The new Axiom Space Headquarters, the world’s first commercial space station, located at the 22-acre Houston Spaceport, consists of two distinct structures: Annex A and West Building Phase 1. Annex A, a 14,000 sq. ft. pre-engineered metal warehouse, serves as an expansion of the existing headquarters. West Building Phase 1 spans 93,000 sq. ft. and features tilt-wall construction, metal paneling, and storefront elements. This building includes a maintenance area with two 5-ton jib cranes, an integration bay, and a High Bay conditioned to maintain Level 8 clean room standards – a critical environment for the precise assembly of Axiom’s space modules.
The Axiom Space Integration & Assembly Facility was awarded the 2024 ABC Greater Houston Excellence in Construction Award in the Industrial category.
