Turner Construction provided preconstruction and construction services on the repositioning of 1230 Promenade Tower, one of Atlanta’s most prominent office buildings. The project entailed 30,000 sq.ft. of complete exterior and interior renovations to the Promenade’s Second Level office, conference, amenity spaces, and Garden, including three outdoor plazas.
Prominent exterior features of the project are a new two-level pedestrian walkway between the parking deck and the Promenade building and hardscape and landscape updates to the garden spaces. New accommodations include outdoor sitting and gathering spaces, facade and canopy enhancements and the installation of custom-made Halo light fixtures now illuminate the building’s main entrance. Interior renovations included a complete lobby refurbishment with a new grand staircase and construction of the tenant amenity spaces, including property management offices, a Bistro, a fitness center, a wellness center, conference center areas, and core restrooms.
The project team developed a logistics plan for the renovation that enabled the client to keep the facility open at all times with minimal disruptions to clients and tenants. In addition, Turner phased the construction to keep tenants separated at all times from construction activities.
