More than 200,000 hours of work performed by 350 workers went into completing the concrete frame. To celebrate the major milestone, the joint venture team joined LA Clippers Chairman Steve Ballmer, LA Clippers President of Business Operations Gillian Zucker, Inglewood Mayor James T. Butts, Intuit’s Director of Sponsorships, Danielle Roark and Senator Steven Bradford, to place handprints in concrete.

“What our construction team has achieved in the last six months is incredible,” said Rames Sundaram, Project Executive at Turner. “Our first foundation was poured on January 12th and our last deck pour is on July 27th. So, in just six short months, we have completed what normally takes nine months of work. Really amazing!”

“Our construction team maintained an impressively safe environment and excellent quality control through the construction of concrete frame. This enabled us to start steel erection on the date promised to the client more than two years ago when we were planning the project” said Michael Marchesano, Vice President at Turner.

During construction of the arena, 65,000 cubic yards of concrete were placed, and 6,600 concrete mix trucks deliveries were completed. The largest foundation pour was 2,572 cubic yards, and the largest deck pour was 980 cubic yards. The amount of concrete placed to date can fill 7,000,000 NBA basketballs, 19 Olympic-sized swimming pools, or build a 340-mile long sidewalk from Inglewood to San Jose, California.

The Clippers' arena will be ready for the 2024-25 season.
