Turner Construction Company is pleased to announce achievement of a major milestone as Delta Airlines opens Concourse E at Terminal C at LaGuardia Airport in New York City. The ten-gate concourse offers travelers larger gate seating areas and will accommodate Delta’s full domestic fleet of narrowbody aircraft.
Terminal C was built to include the latest technologies to provide passengers efficiency, service, and comfort. Passengers traveling through Terminal C will benefit from hands-free bag drop, self-serve check-in, and Digital ID screening capabilities. The Delta Sky Club will be one of the largest Delta offers with seating currently available for nearly 600 guests. Digital signage provides customers with clear and simple wayfinding that includes walk times between gates. A multi-sensory room provides a calming, supportive environment for customers with sensory sensitivities and their families as they travel.
The terminal is expected to achieve LEED Silver certification and multiple sustainable elements are incorporated, including exterior glass that automatically tints based on the weather and time of day.
