Turner Begins $6.3-Million Project in Midtown

November 22, 2016

Turner Construction Company's Nashville office recently started work on a $6.3-million project for United Surgical Partners International (USPI) – and Ambulatory Surgery Center that will build out 32,000 square feet in the Saint Thomas Midtown Plaza.

“This project will allow USPI to expand its services and provide care for more patients in Middle Tennessee,” said Kevin Williams, manager of Turner’s Special Projects Division in Nashville. “I believe our experience in building in sterile environments was one of the main reasons USPI selected Turner for this work, as well as our track record of staging the build-out to allow medical professionals to continue serving patients throughout construction.”

The build-out encompasses creating a new central sterile processing area, 10 new operating rooms and space for 40 preparation and recovery beds. Completion of the project is slated for the first quarter of 2017. Cassetty Architecture and Smith Seckman Reid comprise the design team.
