Become a SubcontractorIt is our duty to give back to the communities we operate in and make a positive impact on the world around us.
Our Turner family comes together to positively and sustainably impact the communities where we live and build. We have supported some amazing organizations like the Ronald McDonald House Canada (Toronto), Youth Without Shelter, Woodgreen Community Services, The Daily Bread Food Bank, Trails Youth Iniative, Habitat for Humanity, Big Brothers/Sisters, Evergreen Brickworks, Threads of Life, Diabetes Canada, Lion's Foundation of Canada Dog Guides, and Riverwood Conservancy to name a few.
Over the past two years, Turner has partnered with Youth Without Shelter (YWS) to help foster a safe, supportive environment for youth aged 16 to 24. Our teams have contributed by repainting hallways, maintaining gardens, and completing landscaping projects, fence repairs, and minor renovations. Beyond hands-on work, we’ve also organized clothing and food drives to further support YWS’s vital mission of empowering youth facing homelessness.
As part of Founders Month, our teams actively contribute to environmental conservation by engaging in hands-on efforts to protect and restore natural habitats. At Riverwood Conservancy, we have planted trees, removed invasive species, and cared for the woodlands, meadows, ravines, and ecosystems along the Credit River in Mississauga.
We are so grateful for the opportunity to partner with Ronald McDonald House Canada on an annual Holiday Toy Drive and Charity Golf Tournament.
Since 1981, Ronald McDonald House Charities® Toronto has served as a place to call home for families with seriously ill children undergoing treatment. RMHC accommodates 81 families and is located at 240 McCaul Street in downtown Toronto, just minutes from The Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids) and Mt. Sinai Hospital.
We look forward to continuing to serve our community and bring joy to more children in the years to come.
We’re proud to support the Lions Foundation of Canada Dog Guides in more ways than one. From helping build their new training facility to fostering a future dog guide named Turner, our commitment runs deep. Each year, we also join the fun at the Pet Valu Walk for Dog Guides in Oakville—walking alongside family, friends, and our four-legged teammates to raise funds for service dogs that change lives for Canadians living with disabilities.
In 2024, we took part in Canstruction Toronto and built a vibrant Rubik’s Cube sculpture titled “A Puzzle of Progress.” Made from 2,754 colorful cans and food items, our creation symbolizes the importance of balancing resources and working together to solve the complex challenge of hunger. The sculpture invites viewers to reflect on food insecurity and inspires collective action toward a hunger-free world. All cans used in the display were donated to the Daily Bread Food Bank.
Our staff participated in the global cleanup initiative by picking up litter at Woodbine Beach. We upcycled hockey sticks into pick-up sticks by adding a nail to the top end and collected as many waste and plastic items as possible.
Let’s continue to do our part to protect the environment, prevent pollution and live more sustainably!
The pandemic has impacted many families and it is great to see everyone come together and give back to our community. Our partnerships with WoodGreen as well as Ronald McDonald House are making positive impacts to people in vulnerable and challenging situations. All throughout the month of May, our Toronto BU actively participated in the community. We packed food care packages for WoodGreen Community Services, and also helped in their Food Bank. We also visited Ronald McDonald House to refresh their outdoor space by updating planter boxes, painting, repairing and sanding fences and trellises.
