Become a SubcontractorOAKLAND, CA January 24, 2023 – Turner Construction Company is hosting an open house on Thursday, January 26, 2023, to share information on opportunities to join the company and the exciting upcoming projects in various fields such as healthcare, higher education, commercial, aviation and historical renovations. Turner’s upcoming work is providing opportunity to expand its team.
This lively event is a chance to network with leadership, hear from the project teams, and see what other groundbreaking projects Turner has lined up in the years to come. This open house will offer a welcoming environment with activities, raffle, and recruitment opportunities. The event will be held from 4:00 to 8:00 pm at Turner’s Oakland office located at 300 Frank H. Ogawa Plaza, Oakland, CA 94612. Click here to register for the event. Upcoming Opportunities in Northern California
UC Berkeley, The Gateway
Turner is building a five-story, academic building for the University of California Berkeley’s Division of Data Science and Information. The project team broke ground on this project in October 2022. This project is 375,000 square feet of active learning classrooms, seminar rooms and a two-story lecture hall. Turner will also create a space for incubators, robotics and artificial intelligence laboratories, workrooms and advising suites. Various construction scopes such as infrastructure, exterior landscaping and site improvements will take place.
SFO Terminal 3 West
San Francisco International Airport is home to many Turner projects and the newest one being the $1.7 Billion modernization and expansion of Terminal 3 West. The project team is working through the preconstruction phase and gearing up for construction. Construction scopes such as upgrades to interiors, boarding areas and baggage handling systems, new construction and upgrades to international and domestic swing gates will take place over the next two years here.
Healthcare Fire Alarm System Replacement Program
This multi-year program for a healthcare client takes place across Northern California. Turner is evaluating and updating/replacing fire alarm systems in over 100 hospitals, medical office buildings, and parking facilities across the region. The design/build delivery of this work includes design, cost development, procurement, scheduling, and execution of work in the field. This client and Turner have worked together on many projects in California and the United States for several years.
Evergreen Valley Community College Nursing Addition
With demolition completed, Evergreen Valley Community College is looking forward to breaking ground on their new two-story nursing addition early this Spring. The $29M project will include 33,000 square feet of high-performance skill labs, high fidelity simulation of a clinical nursing environment and flexible classrooms. Scope includes demolition to an existing lecture hall, interior renovation to classrooms, labs and hallways. An interesting attribute to this project is the continuous live stream available to watch how it’s progressing.
