Turner Construction Company is one of the founding members of Construction Inclusion Week. During the week, industry participants champion diversity, equity, and inclusion. This year, the themes are Commitment & Accountability, Belonging, Supplier Diversity, Workplace Culture, and Community Engagement.
Construction Inclusion Week has grown considerably from its inaugural year, demonstrating broad commitment to cultivate a culture of inclusion and belonging throughout the construction industry. Last year’s events had double the participation of 2021, and this year is expected to double again. The events feature participation from contractors, suppliers, educational institutions, government agencies, clients, and more. The anticipated reach is more than 750,000 industry workers.
“We are so proud of the tremendous growth of Construction Inclusion Week,” said Lisa Moving, Vice President of Turner Construction Company. “Turner maintains a culture of active caring; inclusion and belonging are major keys to that culture. We thank our industry partners for their commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workplace.”
Construction Inclusion Week will take place from October 16-October 20 and free materials can be accessed at constructioninclusionweek.com. Construction Inclusion Week channels the collective power of general contractors, specialty contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers to raise awareness and improve diversity and inclusion in the construction industry.
