As part of our global Founders' Month 2026 campaign, we brought together university students, young professionals, and local communities through initiatives focused on education, career development, social impact, and capacity building in Türkiye. Through these activities, we aimed to introduce our industry, support the career development of young people, and invest in the future professionals who will help shape tomorrow. With the coordination of a 28-member committee and the voluntary contributions of more than 50 Turner employees, we reached over 500 students throughout the program.
We hosted a coffee talk with high school students from LÖSEV (The Foundation for Children with Leukemia), sharing insights about our profession and discussing career opportunities within the construction industry.
During a painting workshop where children transformed their dream cities into creative artwork, we introduced them to our profession and answered their insightful questions about our work.
We met with technical high school students to discuss the construction industry, career opportunities, and professional development, providing an informative and engaging career-focused session.
We organized a mock interview session to help students gain practical job interview experience. Our team shared guidance and insights on hiring processes and professional development. This pilot initiative served as a model for future capacity-building activities planned throughout the year.
We conducted one-on-one mock interviews and provided students with professional feedback to support their career preparation.
We continued our annual plastic cap donation campaign in support of the Turkish Spinal Cord Paralytics Association (TOFD), contributing to ongoing efforts that promote accessibility and inclusion.
While designing this program to strengthen the technical and professional competencies of our interns and recent graduates, we first conducted a comprehensive survey to better understand the needs and expectations of high school and university students, understand Turner’s expectations, and identify the areas where we can make the greatest impact. We analyzed feedback from more than 130 participants and used these insights to shape the program content.
As a result, we developed a comprehensive development program running from June through September, offering more than 20 hours of training each month. The program will feature 40 Turner employees delivering training sessions across 33 technical and professional development topics.
Through this initiative, we aim to equip our interns and recent graduate colleagues with the technical and professional skills needed to succeed, support their transition into the workforce, and strengthen their connection to Turner’s culture and values.
