Turner provided National Heritage Academies (NHA) with construction management services for interior renovation and expansion of the elementary and middle school, Brooklyn Dreams Charter School. The scope of work included a five-floor 50,000 sq. ft. interior renovation and 18,000 sq. ft. building addition. Interior renovations consisted of utilities alterations and upgrades; as well as exterior site work and playgrounds.
To meet NHA's schedule, excavation, and foundation work was expedited so that it could be fit-out without disrupting students during their academic year. In addition, special care was taken to segregate the construction area from active school zones. The addition included the installation of one elevator for ADA purposes, an ADA lift, classrooms, a lunch preparation room area, and two stairwells.
