Jacob Overman

In this role, he partners with senior leadership to align workforce strategy with business objectives across the Omaha region, overseeing the full HR function in support of more than 250 professionals. He leads key areas including employee relations, talent strategy, compensation and salary planning, and performance management, while ensuring compliance with company policies and employment regulations. He serves as a trusted advisor to business leaders, providing guidance on organizational planning, leadership development, and complex employee matters. He also drives initiatives to strengthen employee retention and enhance the overall employee experience, recognizing the direct impact on project performance and team stability. He is known for his strong interpersonal skills and ability to foster inclusive, supportive work environments.

Jake is originally from the Omaha area and has three children. Prior to joining Turner Construction, he served 21 years in the Air Force and now partners with Turner leadership to support veteran hiring initiatives. Outside of work, he enjoys staying active and spending time with his family
