Become a Subcontractor
To support a growing community and improve emergency response times, Turner is building a new 18,924 sq. ft. Fire & EMS Station for the City of West Des Moines. The ground-up facility includes four drive-through apparatus bays with bi-fold exit doors, 10 sleeping rooms, administrative areas, meeting and training space, fitness facilities, locker rooms, a kitchen and day room, gear storage and additional operational support spaces. The turnout gear room is also designed to serve as an ICC-500 storm shelter.
The project extends beyond the station itself with comprehensive upgrades to an existing fueling facility, including replacement of underground fuel storage tanks, reconstruction of the canopy, new fuel pumps, concrete pavement and supporting security and technology systems. Together, the improvements will provide West Des Moines Fire & EMS personnel with an efficient, resilient facility designed around the demands of modern emergency response.
