The University of Texas Club is a prestigious, private club bearing the sophistication and style unique to the great state of Texas and the University that bears its name. Turner provided fast-track and two-phased renovation services for the sixth-floor, seventh floor, and main entrance remodel. The 15,000 sq. ft. project includes new offices and board room, kitchen renovations, and a new bar with several compartmentalized lounge areas that meet the dual purpose of offering dining during the day and a club-type atmosphere during events.
Work was completed between football seasons, during which time the dining functions for the club were relocated to other portions of the Stadium. Turner worked with the Club Corp staff to complete the renovations with minimal impact on their operations, including keeping the kitchen open during the project. To ensure best value for the renovations many of the existing millwork elements were retained and refinished. All new millwork - including the brand-new bar - was custom made to match existing finishes. Everything was designed and fabricated with a commitment toward celebrating the University of Texas. New carpet, new backlit bar elements, and the new furnishings all prominently display the Texas Longhorns logo. With new TVs, a new lighting control system and lights, and a more flexible atmosphere, the modernized UT Club has been incredibly well-received by its members and guests alike.
