Turner completed the new 340,000 sq. ft. Spartanburg County Judicial Center, a six-story facility designed to support the county’s growing judicial needs. The courthouse includes 17 courtrooms, office and meeting spaces, and secure areas for staff and detainees—carefully planned to ensure safety, efficiency, and a smooth experience for visitors.
The building features a clean, modern exterior designed to reflect the significance of civic architecture, while the interior supports advanced technology and day-to-day functionality.
The project also included a new Central Energy Plant to provide reliable heating, cooling, and backup power, as well as demolition of the former courthouse and construction of a new entry plaza to welcome the community.
Adjacent to the Judicial Center, Turner also built a five-level parking structure with space for over 580 vehicles. Designed to complement the courthouse, the deck features architectural precast finishes and a glass entry element on Library Street. It includes elevators, stairwells, landscaped walkways, and connects seamlessly to the courthouse plaza. The project also involved road improvements and utility upgrades to improve traffic flow and pedestrian access across the site.
