Driving Data Center Excellence Through Innovation

Building on the success of the TOR1 Data Centre, Turner completed a major expansion to increase capacity and performance through a new state-of-the-art, two-storey mission-critical facility. The structure is supported by rammed aggregate piers and shallow concrete foundations, with a steel frame enclosed by tilt-up concrete panels. 

Designed for a total critical load of 8 MW, the project primarily focused on the second-floor development, featuring high-quality interior finishes and a 4 MW data hall build-out. To support the data hall’s operational demands, Turner integrated a comprehensive suite of electrical and mechanical systems, including medium-voltage transformers, a low-voltage switchgear, backup generators, UPS units, PDUs, and busways. The mechanical cooling system features a state-of-the-art chilled water plant with rooftop chillers and fan wall units, ensuring efficient and reliable performance.

Recognized for its innovative use of tilt-wall construction, the project received the 2024 OGCA Builder Award for Innovation in the $25–$75 million category.
