Facilitating interdisciplinary education

The building greatly elevates the offerings for the behavioral health sciences and future university students. It consolidates previously scattered instructional space into a single location with 14 classrooms and five computer class laboratories with 900 seats. It also features 14 smaller, discipline-specific research rooms with an additional 87 student stations.

The building houses 95 faculty offices, a combination of formal and informal learning/collaboration spaces that encourage and facilitate cross-discipline integration among students and faculty, and general classrooms for university-wide use.

Experiential learning

Experiential learning

The state-of-the-art facility offers a variety of spaces for hands-on learning experiences, including psychology department labs for electroencephalogram research to test brain wave activity and eye tracking, sound test rooms, and quantitative computer labs. The facility also houses a mock command center for simulated emergency-management disaster training for scenarios ranging from hurricanes to terrorism.
