Turner provided project and construction management services for the Hong Ngoc Phuc Truong Minh General Hospital, located on Chau Van Liem Street in My Dinh District, Hanoi.

The 16-story hospital represents several first-of-its-kind achievements in Vietnam’s healthcare sector. It is the first hospital in the country to implement the United Kingdom’s Health Building Note (HBN) guidelines, which establish rigorous best-practice standards for healthcare design and planning. Spanning approximately 755,000 square feet, the project is also among the first in Vietnam to integrate virtual reality technologies and Building Information Modeling (BIM) throughout the design, construction, and operational planning stages.

Through immersive virtual models, end-users — including nurses, surgeons, hospital staff, and executives — were able to experience full-scale digital environments, interact with clinical spaces, and refine the positioning of critical systems and equipment prior to construction. This collaborative, technology-enabled approach enhanced operational efficiency and patient-centered outcomes.

Architecturally, the hospital blends resort-inspired elements with advanced medical functionality. The 16-story U-shaped structure features stepped terraces that create expansive, open verandas. Designed to promote healing and well-being, the facility maximizes natural light and incorporates an integrated landscape strategy, with greenery — including flowers, fruit trees, and medicinal plants — covering approximately 45% of the site.

Turner successfully delivered Phase 2 of the development, adding a new 16-story, 250-bed medical facility with two basement levels. This expansion significantly increased Hong Ngoc Hospital’s capacity to provide world-class pediatric and general healthcare services. The additional built-up area of nearly 33,000 square meters includes 13 floors dedicated to medical functions, with the upper levels allocated for offices and support spaces.
