The ground-up construction and fit out of this unique building created a home for Meow Wolf's singular immersive art experience and a venue for live events. The project began with the demolition of an existing industrial building, which required close coordination with the City and County of Denver and the Colorado Department of Transportation, given its close proximity to the I-25/Colfax interchange. The project includes a theater, dining area, retail space, lobby, kitchen, loading dock and storage. The remaining building square footage is dedicated to art exhibits and is specifically designed to maximize the variety of exhibits that can be housed and the ways that they can be connected to one another.
