Avigilon HQ

Large Scale Fit-out for Avigilon's Vancouver HQ

The Avigilon Headquarters tenant improvement project took place in 1948 building in the heart of downtown Vancouver. The project consisted of a three-month demolition phase which included the removal of offices, meeting rooms, washrooms, lobby space, and a glass passenger elevator. The tenant improvement included open-concept offices on most floors, private offices separated with demountable walls, open ceilings, a raised access floor for mechanical and electrical, the modification of the atrium glazing, replacement of exterior windows, installation of computer labs, food service areas, office finishes throughout. Additionally, the atrium was designed with meeting rooms, and office extensions overlooking the open space, which presented some opportunities to find structural solutions, eventually cantilevers on multiple levels were included. The atrium design also included additions to the structural steel staircase which required extensive scaffolding in the area. Other considerations include the installation of a passenger elevator, and the modernization of the passenger elevators.
