October 06, 2022

Turner completed $7.5 billion in green building projects during 2021 – an increase of 16 percent from the previous year.

Engineering News-Record has once again recognized Turner Construction Company as the
top green contractor. This is the 15th consecutive year that Turner has been ranked number one. In addition to the top spot overall, Turner was ranked as a leading green builder in the Commercial Offices, Healthcare, and the Sports, Entertainment & Civic sectors.

“We are proud to work with clients who are prioritizing environmental, social, and governance goals in their building programs," said Julia Gisewite, Turner's Chief Sustainability Officer. Julia continued, “Turner continues to increase its technical expertise and offerings to help clients meet their decarbonization, resilience, and wellness goals. It is great to partner with members of our supply chain to meet these challenges.”

Turner is successfully meeting aggressive targets to reduce the use of carbon intensive building materials and fossil fuel dependence during the construction and operations of buildings. We are facilitating early and open collaboration between clients, design partners, and our suppliers to meet the sustainability goals of our projects, our communities, and the planet. This cooperative approach has catalyzed project teams to pilot the use of low-carbon equipment and incorporate leading-edge clean technology into our projects. These efforts, at scale, will help decarbonize construction activity and deliver green, sustainable, and resilient buildings.
