Turner India Shares Practical AI Insights at STEEL DAY 2026

Construction is entering a new era of technology adoption, with global studies showing that digital transformation can improve project productivity by up to 14–15%, reduce rework by as much as 30%, and cut project delays by 20% or more when applied effectively. 

At the same time, AI-driven planning and automation are helping teams save hundreds of hours in coordination, forecasting, and reporting, while improving safety and decision-making across the project lifecycle. Against this backdrop, Turner India participated in STEEL DAY 2026, where Atul Shirke, Country Manager – Turner International India, delivered a technical session on the practical application of artificial intelligence and generative design in construction. 

The session explored how AI is transforming project delivery by improving planning, enhancing safety, optimizing schedules, reducing rework, and enabling faster, data-driven decision-making. Through practical examples, it showcased the growing role of computer vision, robotics, predictive analytics, digital workflows, and AI-powered project management in improving productivity and delivering better project outcomes.
