The 2022 Vancouver Toy Drive was reported as one of their best years yet. The team collected over 500 toys, over $400 worth of gift certificates, and a lot of monetary donations benefitting the Lower Mainland Christmas Bureau and the British Columbia Children’s Hospital.
The Lower Mainland Christmas Bureau empowers families in need to create Christmas experiences for their kids through the generosity of the community. The BC Children’s Hospital Foundation is the only hospital in the province devoted exclusively to the care of children. That means one million kids—including some of the sickest and most seriously injured—count on the hospital for specialized care they often can’t receive anywhere else. Last year, more than 99,000 patients visited the hospital, including its acute care centre, research institute, mental health facility and other facilities.
The team was also able to donate some perishable goods.
Many different parts of Turner Vancouver made this event successful, with a special thank you to the Vancouver Self-Perform Operations team. SPO assisted in the delivery of the toys to the organizations.
