Turner provided preconstruction and construction services for the buildout of an existing office/warehouse space into a pharmaceutical manufacturing facility. The project features four ISO 7 and ISO 8 suites totaling just under 3,000 square feet where the client will manufacture and package sterile product for distribution. The main feature of the project included the installation of an intricate mechanical system featuring two new roof top units, two return air handling units, forty-seven constant air volume valves, and seventy-eight HEPA filters. All of the mechanical features were installed on top of or supported by a 5,000 square foot mechanical access platform that was installed at the beginning of the project. The mechanical system will be controlled by a central BMS system that will be able to monitor, adjust and record flow rates, differential pressure, temperature and humidity which will all be automatically logged during the manufacturing process.
