project at a glance

Turner provided construction management services on this 115,000 square foot dormitory project consisting of two 55,000 square feet, 120 bed suite style dorms. The Wiesel and Giorgio Halls symbolize a new beginning for the SHU Campus and its students. The mirror imaged 'twin dorms' serve as a gateway to the new SHU's Upper Quad in the heart of the central campus.

Both the North and South halls offer a combination of 64 apartments-style suites, each housing four or five students. These apartments include living rooms, kitchens and bathrooms. The upper quad include a new dining facility and are also located next to the Bobby Valentine Athletic Center. The project also features two stainless steel human figurative statues that utilize science to manipulate light and transparency.
