Originally constructed in 1917 for newspaper staff members, the former Detroit News and Free Press Headquarters building has transformed into a mixed-use facility, which involved a 404,000 square foot renovation to create a modern office environment for multiple tenants.
The scope of work included the tenant build-out for Molina Healthcare, the build-out of office space for Quicken Loans, a data center for future tenant use, and an extensive core and shell renovation of the entire building. In addition, a portion of the internal, street level, and parking garage was converted into a restaurant called the Press Room Café.
