project at a glance

The Prairie Creek Branch of the Dallas Public Library is an 18,000 square foot library equipped with classrooms and a kitchen. The project is seeking LEED Platinum certification.

Work included addition of 100 parking spaces, a public meeting space, a teen Center and children’s center, 25 computers and 15 laptops, wireless internet access, two self-checkout stations, drive up access for book and media returns and an outdoor learning area for children’s nature study.

The outdoor area features the handprints of local children in concrete as a permanent art installation.
